Aamna Nayyar

Nayyar holds her dental practice license with the Dental Board of California and Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. She has been serving as the Director of the Department of Dental Health at Santa Fe Community College [SFCC] since 2003. She is a reviewer and an author of many dental publications including contributions to the dental textbooks and CE courses. She has presented at various regional, state, national and international seminars, and conferences.

She feels honored to be the recipient of several awards including, The Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development [NISOD - https://www.nisod.org/], the SFCC Faculty Excellence award, and Quality Matters [QM] Award: Making a Difference for students [https://www.qualitymatters.org/events/qm-awards]. QM is a global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. 

She serves in many volunteer leadership positions including, Co-Chair of New Mexico Oral Health Coalition [NMOHC], Board member of Villa Therese Catholic Charities [VTCC], Salam Academy Board of Directors, etc. She is a member of the American Dental Education Association [ADEA].
